Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa has made an important decision due to the earthquake. The Florence Nightingale Nursing Faculty will suspend its activities for 20 days and relocate to the Avcılar Campus.

Rector Prof. Dr. Nuri Aydın announced the precautions taken after the 6.2 magnitude earthquake. He extended his best wishes to students and staff.

The Florence Nightingale Nursing Faculty serves a total of 1,537 students. The relocation will begin on May 20, when educational activities will resume at the new location.

During this process, 4th-year clinical practice students will not be affected. The university is continuing structural safety assessments across all its units.

This earthquake in Istanbul serves as an important warning for educational institutions. Similar precautions have been taken in other provinces as well.
