Zelenski and Putin: Latest Developments on Ceasefire

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski made significant statements at the United Nations General Assembly. He emphasized the need for security guarantees to hold elections under wartime conditions.
Zelenski stated, "If a ceasefire occurs, we are ready to hold elections despite constitutional challenges." This highlights the potential for international support.
In response to Putin's ceasefire proposal, Zelenski described it as ambiguous and manipulative. "Putin is setting conditions to delay the ceasefire," he remarked.
Zelenski pointed out that Russia has not taken real steps to end the war and that international pressure needs to be increased.
Zelenski believes that a ceasefire could start at any moment, even today, but it should last at least 30 days to give diplomacy a real chance.
Zelenski stressed the need to do everything for peace and mentioned that Trump could expedite negotiations with Russia.
