Panic is rising in the Aegean Sea due to jellyfish sightings!

The Greek Biodiversity Observatory reported that jellyfish have been spotted northwest of Evia Island and in the Pagasetic Gulf south of Volos. Their numbers are rapidly increasing, especially around Evia Island.

Experts warn that contact with these jellyfish can cause redness, pain, and discomfort. Sensitive individuals may experience nausea and difficulty breathing.

Beachgoers are advised to be cautious of jellyfish. These jellyfish are among the most dangerous in the Mediterranean, making it a critical issue for summer vacations.
