Struggles of Syrian Children in Irrigation Canals

Recently, accidents in irrigation canals in Turkey have resulted in tragic outcomes, especially for Syrian children.
In Antalya's Serik district, 8-year-old Dunya Elsefir fell into an irrigation canal and lost her life. The incident was reported to the authorities by nearby citizens. After rescue efforts, the child's body was found 2 kilometers away.

In Adana, a similar incident occurred where 10-year-old Muhammed Al Khalif entered an irrigation canal and went missing. His body was later found by divers. Such incidents highlight the need for increased safety measures for children.
In Sanliurfa, 13-year-old Ahmet Ali fell into an irrigation canal and was found dead after 5 days. These tragic events have caused great sorrow in the community and emphasize the need for better safety for children.
Authorities stress the importance of increasing safety measures around irrigation canals and urge families to be more vigilant to protect children from such dangers.
