Results of the Syria and Neighboring Countries Meeting

The Syria and neighboring countries meeting was held in Amman. Foreign ministers from Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria came together.
Following the meeting, an 11-point statement was released emphasizing the need to support the safety and stability of the Syrian people. It was stated that international support for the reconstruction of Syria should be increased.
Israel's aggressions against Syrian territory were condemned, and a call was made to the UN Security Council for the enforcement of international law. All forms of terrorism were condemned, and it was decided to establish a joint operations center to combat ISIS.
Support for the reconstruction efforts in Syria and the lifting of sanctions were emphasized. Additionally, it was stressed that necessary conditions should be provided for the safe return of Syrian refugees.
It was decided to hold a second meeting in Turkey to continue discussions. The decisions made in this meeting are expected to be significant for the region.
