President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed the President of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani. This important meeting took place at the Presidential Complex behind closed doors.

During the meeting, the President of the National Intelligence Organization, Ibrahim Kalin, and the President of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, were also present. The discussions focused on Turkey-IKBY relations and regional security issues.

Before this meeting, Barzani also met with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. It is expected that topics such as counter-terrorism and economic cooperation will be discussed between the two leaders.

President Erdoğan is set to host Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hüseyin tomorrow, with a meeting with Fidan also anticipated following this visit.
