Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel has resigned from CHP and joined AKP. This change symbolizes the beginning of a new era in Beykoz.

In her speech at the AKP Beykoz District Presidency's introduction program, Gürzel expressed that she was warmly welcomed. She stated, "From now on, we will only talk about service."

President Erdoğan announced Gürzel's joining AKP, saying, "We will serve with happiness and beauty in Beykoz."

Gürzel also explained her reasons for resigning from CHP, stating, "I am not receiving support," highlighting issues within her party.
