Following the 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Adıyaman, geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made significant statements. He indicated that the earthquake could partially change stress areas.

According to information from Kandilli Observatory, the earthquake occurred at 10:39 and was measured at a depth of 6 kilometers. Görür stated, "It's small but it could partially change the stress area on the Bitlis-Zagros line."

Adıyaman is among the cities in Turkey with high earthquake risk. Prof. Dr. Görür warned, "Adıyaman has not yet faced a major earthquake caused by its own fault line. Preparations should be made."

The geoscientist emphasized, "We can face a disaster-level earthquake anywhere at any time," stressing the need for earthquake-resistant cities.
