New Steps from AK Party and MHP for a Terror-Free Turkey

AK Party and MHP are creating a new roadmap for a Terror-Free Turkey. Meetings at the Presidential Palace have decided to establish a commission.
Following President Erdoğan's instructions, AK Party deputies will go door to door to explain the importance of this process to citizens. This process is expected to contribute to Turkey's peace and economy.

With the establishment of the commission, meetings will be held with the group vice presidents of political parties in the Parliament. In these meetings, the commission's scope and member count will be determined.
AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler stated that the commission's scope will involve permanent disarmament and the PKK's self-dissolution. Close contact with security forces will be maintained during this process.

Kurtulmuş emphasized the need for the Parliament to take the initiative in this process by meeting with opposition parties. Discussions on how to form the commission are ongoing.
