The AK Party Constitution Commission convened under the instruction of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. This important meeting focused on new constitutional work.

Led by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, the meeting included AK Party Vice Presidents and other officials. The commission is expected to continue its work throughout the summer.

During the meeting, previous workshops and drafts will be compiled. Additionally, opinions from civil society and academics will be gathered.

The AK Party emphasized its determination regarding the new constitution in its 2023 Election Manifesto. The new constitution is seen as the strongest guarantee for Turkey's Century goals.

President Erdoğan stated that he may occasionally preside over commission meetings. This further highlights the importance of the new constitutional efforts.
