AKP Manisa Provincial Chairman Süleyman Turgut announced that they will not nominate a candidate for the mayoral election due to the death of Ferdi Zeyrek.

Zeyrek's death has caused deep sorrow in Manisa. Turgut stated that they will respect the candidate nominated by the Republican People's Party.

Turgut expressed that this attitude is a reflection of their belief in the will of the people of Manisa. The elections are scheduled to be held on June 16.

AK Party stated that they will continue to support projects that benefit Manisa, regardless of who the new mayor is.
