The DEM Party has strongly condemned the detention operations against CHP municipalities. Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan stated that these interventions are unacceptable.

Bakırhan emphasized, "One of the fundamental principles of democracy is respect for the will expressed by the people at the ballot box. Operations conducted against elected mayors undermine social peace."

Hatimoğulları stated, "The attempt to resolve political disputes through judicial means and the application of these practices against elected representatives are unacceptable. Respect for the people's will is essential."

The DEM Party noted that the judicial intervention against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is expanding. They highlighted that these operations have turned into a kind of siege against opposition municipalities.

Bakırhan stated, "Engaging in such political operations is inconsistent with the spirit of the process. The law must be applied fairly and impartially to everyone."
