The AK Party Human Rights Presidency held a panel to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the e-memorandum published on April 27, 2007. In the panel, AK Party Deputy Chairman Hasan Basri Yalçın sharply criticized CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

Yalçın stated, 'Where there is a junta, there is CHP,' reminding everyone of the CHP's past mentality. He emphasized AK Party's determination in fighting against coups.

Yalçın recalled that the AK Party rejected the e-memorandum and highlighted the importance of standing firm against such threats to democracy.

The panel also featured speeches from former Parliament Speakers Cemil Çiçek and Mehmet Ali Şahin. Yalçın stressed that the public should not forget the mistakes of the CHP.

Yalçın concluded by stating, 'We must honor the struggle against the mentality of coup plotters for democracy.'
