An investigation has been launched regarding a tanker emitting smoke in Avcılar.

The 183-meter-long tanker named 'Sentinel' emitted dense smoke and soot in the evening. Upon receiving reports, the Avcılar Coast Guard Command took action. Teams determined that a thick layer of soot had formed next to the tanker.

Coast Guard teams collected soot samples from the sea for laboratory analysis and sent the results to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change. It has been learned that a fine will be imposed on the tanker.
