President Erdoğan has positively responded to the meeting request from the DEM Party delegation. This meeting could be a critical step for the important issue of the Imrali process in Turkey.

DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan announced that the delegation will apply to meet with President Erdoğan. Bakırhan emphasized the importance of this meeting with the head of the executive branch.

The DEM Party has started political party tours following the call made to the PKK from Imrali. They visited CHP, EMEP, and DEVA parties in this context.

Bakırhan stated that meeting with Erdoğan is an important step in solving a 50-year-old problem in Turkey. He stressed that this meeting should also include other political parties.

President Erdoğan stated in a press conference, "If the Imrali delegation requests an appointment, I will grant it." This situation is seen as a promising development in the search for a political solution.
