CHP Group Vice President Ali Mahir Başarır strongly reacted to the arrest of youth branch member Bilge Kağan Şarbat. He stated that this arrest was aimed at silencing society.

Başarır emphasized, "Our struggle is for 86 million! Focus on fighting the mafias!" He asserted that this year would go down in history as a dark stain.

Başarır declared, "Even if they appoint a trustee or close our party, we will not end!" expressing their determination. He stated they will fight for a free, democratic, and fair Turkey.

Regarding the cancellation of the congress case, Başarır said, "This was a case that should have been rejected from the first day. They stole the people's time."
