In Malatya, the snowfall has paralyzed the city. A few centimeters of snow led to icy roads and numerous traffic accidents.

Republican People's Party (CHP) Malatya Provincial Chairman Barış Yıldız criticized the municipality harshly, questioning why preventive salting was not done despite the forecasted snowfall days in advance.

Yıldız stated, "If a few centimeters of snow can paralyze the city, there is a serious failure in winter management." Malatya residents are not willing to accept this situation.

Yıldız reminded of similar situations in Elazığ, stating that the same sensitivity was not shown in Malatya. He emphasized that students and workers are at risk regarding their safety.

"Malatya cannot be left to chance. The residents of Malatya expect solutions, not excuses," he called upon the authorities.
