Trial of CHP Deputy's Driver: Details of the Incident

The driver of CHP deputy Adnan Beker is in court for allegedly driving onto a police officer. The incident occurred on April 23 in the Altındağ district of Ankara.

Driver G.G. is being tried without detention for not complying with the stop order. In court, G.G. denied the charges against him and claimed he did not act intentionally.

After the incident, CHP Deputy Reşat Karagöz was called as a witness and stated that the action was unlawful. Karagöz noted that the driver had slowed down but they told him to continue.

The trial was postponed to complete missing details. G.G. faces a sentence of up to 13 years and 6 months in prison.
