Ekrem İmamoğlu, as the Mayor of Istanbul, recently highlighted the pressures he faces from the government. He stated, "Our lives are at risk," addressing the injustices he encounters.

Imamoğlu expressed his concerns regarding the health condition of Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık and the detention of Şişli Mayor Özgür Kabadayı. He emphasized that these situations cannot be justified by law.

Imamoğlu stated on social media, "We are not being judged; we are being punished directly!" expressing his loss of faith in the rule of law.

He also called on high-ranking judges to ensure justice is served, stressing that this situation harms not only him but the entire society.

Imamoğlu stated, "This country has well-educated people, honest and hardworking youth. We will adopt a management approach based on merit and justice," expressing hope for the future.
