A heatwave is starting to affect Istanbul!

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) announced that temperatures will rise to 34-37 degrees from Wednesday. These temperatures can be particularly dangerous between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Ekrem İmamoğlu emphasized that vulnerable individuals such as the elderly, pregnant women, and asthma patients should avoid sunny environments. It is crucial to be careful during these hot days.

AKOM stated that this heatwave will be effective in Istanbul and that no rain is expected in the coming days. Temperatures are predicted to remain at spring values.
