Discussions on AKP Media and RTÜK Oversight

AKP's Şamil Tayyar made strong criticisms against the new SCT regulation. He emphasized that society is in deep poverty and struggling with economic difficulties.
Tayyar pointed out that the regulation passed by the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission changes the SCT brackets and rates for motor vehicles. The new regulation will see tax rates change between 80% and 220% based on engine capacity.
He stated, "While society expects remedial regulations for deep poverty and economic difficulties, we continue to tighten the noose around their necks," continuing his criticisms.
Additionally, the statements of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya regarding traffic accidents have drawn attention. Tayyar argued that radar applications work as a trap rather than a deterrent.
Tayyar stated that the state should not set traps for citizens, saying, "We object to lawlessness, not to the rules." This situation could undermine the sense of justice in society.
