Recently, the names of Ekrem İmamoğlu and Manisa's new mayor Besim Dutlulu have been prominent in Turkey's agenda.

Following the death of Manisa Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, Besim Dutlulu was elected as the new mayor. In the election held after Zeyrek's death, Dutlulu received 85 votes to take the mayoral seat.

Dutlulu expressed that he would work to fulfill Zeyrek's unfinished dreams and would take care of Manisa. He emphasized that he would operate with a non-partisan service approach during his term.
