After the meeting in Ankara, CHP Ankara Provincial Chairman Ümit Erkol made a press statement. He stated that they would work together under Özel's leadership for the future of the party.

Özel expressed that all provincial heads would not recognize the decisions of the politically influenced judiciary and would stand by the party's will.

Özel stated that the results of the CHP in the March 31 Municipal Elections awakened a sense of hope among the public.
