Striking Statements from CHP Deputy Ali Babacan

Ali Babacan evaluated the results of his collaboration with CHP during a live broadcast on Ekol TV. He highlighted the negative impacts of being on the same table with CHP in the 2023 elections.
Babacan stated, "The negative impact of our collaboration with CHP was significant. If you ask if we regret it, the country's situation was dire, and a change in power was necessary at that time."
He further remarked, "But 2+2 didn't equal 4; it equaled 3. When we came together, the votes that should have come to us did not." He emphasized that they will approach the upcoming elections with lessons learned.
CHP Group Vice President Ali Mahir Başarır also indicated that they might lose some seats in the upcoming by-elections. The investigations and detentions initiated in Istanbul have further strained the political atmosphere.
Başarır stated, "Under these conditions, Turkey will go to by-elections, and we will lose some of our seats." This situation is a significant topic of discussion regarding the future of CHP.
