CHP Adana Deputy Ayhan Barut emphasized the need for support for farmers. He stated that without production, food sovereignty cannot be discussed.

Barut expressed that farmers and citizens are facing hunger and scarcity threats. "Support for the public and farmers is essential for sufficient production and consumption balance," he said.

Barut criticized the government, stating, "Otherwise, we will lose our food sovereignty. Hunger and poverty are increasing due to the economic crisis,".

He pointed out that the voices of farmers are not being heard and stressed the need to increase the amount of subsidized loans through Ziraat Bank and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives for agricultural production.

"If the voice of the farmer is not heard, they will have to give up production," Barut stated, expressing that urgent solutions are awaited.
