Özgür Özel visited detainees in Silivri Prison.

Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Özgür Özel visited 28 detainees in Silivri Prison. This visit is seen as an important step in Turkey's current political atmosphere.

During the visit, CHP's presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ, and other mayors were present. Özel celebrated with the detainees and highlighted their situations.

After the visit, Özel made statements about the injustices in Turkey and called for early elections. "This train is on the wrong track; we must redirect it towards a secular, democratic, and modern Turkey," he said.

Özel also addressed the situation of detained journalists, stating, "Suat Toktaş's detention is a matter of journalism." He emphasized that this situation is unacceptable.

During the visits, CHP's Aylin Nazlıaka also made significant statements in Silivri, emphasizing solidarity with the phrase, "Either we all stand together, or none of us will."
