The General Directorate of Meteorology warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms in 11 provinces. Keep reading to learn more about the weather alerts!

The provinces affected include Düzce, Bolu, Zonguldak, Bartın, Ardahan, Kars, Iğdır, Van, Artvin, Trabzon, and Rize. Local thunderstorms are expected in the inner parts of Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin during the afternoon hours.

Meteorology also predicts heavy rain in 10 more provinces: Ordu, Tokat, Erzincan, Antalya, Isparta, Sivas, Rize, Trabzon, Erzurum, and Kars.

A storm is expected in the Aegean region. Winds are predicted to blow from the north and northeast at speeds of 50-75 km/h. The storm is expected to lose its intensity in the evening hours.
