Public transport will be free on New Year's Eve in Istanbul!

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) announced comprehensive measures for New Year's Eve. On January 1, 2026, public transport vehicles will provide free service. Additionally, 680 extra services will be added to the existing schedule.

Many Metro Istanbul lines will operate for 24 hours. City lines will also arrange extra trips based on passenger density.

Police and fire teams will be on alert throughout New Year's Eve. Emergency teams will provide services with sufficient personnel and ambulances at health stations.
