TBMM Disability Commission Meets in Istanbul and Kocaeli

The TBMM Disability Commission held significant meetings in Istanbul and Kocaeli. These meetings addressed the issues faced by disabled individuals and proposed solutions.
In Istanbul, the meeting took place at the Bağcılar Municipality, where topics such as accessibility, education, employment, and health services were discussed. Commission Chairman Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu emphasized the need to address disability issues on-site.

In Kocaeli, approximately 250 participants attended the meeting, including representatives from public institutions, local governments, and civil society organizations.

Kasapoğlu stated that the report prepared by the commission would not just be a wish list but a concrete and verifiable roadmap. He expressed that every suggestion from the field would be included in the report to address the issues faced by disabled individuals.

These meetings aim to strengthen the participation of disabled individuals in social life and listen to local-level solutions from the field. The commission seeks to raise awareness on these issues.
