Public transport will be free on New Year's Eve in Istanbul!

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is taking comprehensive measures for a safe and enjoyable New Year's celebration on January 1, 2026. Public transport will be free and extra services will be provided.

On New Year's Eve, there will be 370 extra bus services and 310 extra metrobüs services. Metro lines will also operate continuously for 24 hours.

The police and fire department will be on alert throughout New Year's Eve to ensure safety. Emergency teams will also provide health services.
