Breaking news! Meteorology has issued a heavy rain alert for Istanbul. The weather has been updated, and caution is advised.

The northern parts of our country and the Eastern Mediterranean are expected to be partly cloudy with occasional thunderstorms. Local rain is forecasted for the western Marmara, Eastern Black Sea coasts, and several provinces.

In Istanbul, temperatures will hover around 31°C. Rain is expected today in Trakya, Edirne, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ. Rain will also arrive in Istanbul tonight and continue into tomorrow morning.

Winds are expected to be light from the west and northwest, occasionally moderate. Temperatures will remain above seasonal norms.

Meteorology advises the elderly and children to avoid being outdoors during the hottest hours of the day. A cooling effect is expected due to the rain.
