Greece continues to erect monuments for the Pontic Greek Genocide in the Aegean Islands. Recently, preparations have begun for a new monument on the island of Lesbos.

After the monument erected four years ago on the island of Kos, another monument was established on Rhodes. Now, a new monument is being prepared on Lesbos.

Regional Governor Konstantinos Moutzouris stated that erecting this monument is an important step to honor the victims of the Pontic Greek Genocide.

Association spokesperson Kristallenia Tsiliki emphasized that the monument serves as a tribute to the descendants of those displaced and a reminder that history is not forgotten.
