Drone sightings in Denmark's airspace have drawn the attention of the European Union and the United Nations. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen discussed the situation with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, emphasizing the risks to Europe's critical infrastructure.

Frederiksen described the incident as "the most serious attack on the country's infrastructure to date." Although the details of the incident are still unclear, it was conveyed that the EU will respond to this threat with strength and determination.

Aalborg Airport in Denmark was also temporarily closed due to suspicious drones. This situation negatively affected the country's air traffic, leading to some flights being redirected to other airports.

Police stated that they do not yet know who operated the drones. However, the increase in such incidents is raising tensions across Europe.

In recent weeks, countries like Estonia, Poland, and Romania have reported incursions into their airspace by Russian aircraft and drones. NATO condemned these actions, stating that the responsibility lies with Russia.
