Earthquakes in the Aegean Sea and Latest Developments

Recent earthquakes in the Aegean Sea indicate an increase in seismic activity in the region. The latest tremor was recorded at 4.8 magnitude near Greece's Yamurgi Island.
According to AFAD, the depth of the earthquake was measured at 7 kilometers. This tremor was felt 124.39 kilometers away in Bodrum, Muğla.
Another earthquake of 4.9 magnitude was recorded in the Aegean Sea, also at a depth of 7 kilometers. These tremors are causing concern among the local population.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake was reported in Greece, which was also felt in nearby provinces such as Çanakkale and Edirne. This indicates an increase in seismic activity in the region.
Experts suggest that these earthquakes are related to past seismic activities. Greek earthquake expert Professor Efthymios Lekkas noted that there has been seismic activity for the past 20 months.
