Iraq Sends 250,000 Tons of Wheat Aid to Syria

The Iraqi Ministry of Trade announced that the Baghdad government has sent 250,000 tons of wheat to Syria. This aid was made within the framework of a decision taken by the Iraqi Cabinet.
In Syria's Deir ez-Zor province, it was reported that the distribution of the first batch of wheat aid sent by the Iraqi government has begun. Trade Director Halil Salih announced that the wheat is being dispatched to other provinces.
Iraqi Government Spokesman Basim al-Awadi stated that the relations between the two countries have now moved to a practical stage. This visit is seen as an important step to strengthen cooperation between Iraq and Syria.
