The Iraqi Prime Minister's Office announced that an official delegation has been sent to Syria. The delegation will hold important discussions with the Syrian President.

The delegation is led by Hamid El Shatri, Director of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service. Discussions will focus on enhancing trade relations and rehabilitating the Iraqi oil pipeline.

Iraqi President Abdullatif Rashid stated that they will work to establish friendly relations with the new administration in Syria based on mutual respect and cooperation.

Opportunities for cooperation in transportation in Syria have also been raised. The Turkish delegation will hold discussions with the Syrian Minister of Transportation.
