Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Terror Attack in Benin

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the terror attack in Benin, where over 50 soldiers lost their lives.
In the statement, it was said, "We condemn this heinous attack and express our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the people of Benin."
Benin Government Spokesperson Wilfried Leandre Houngbedji announced that the attack occurred on April 17 in W National Park, located on the border with Burkina Faso and Niger.
The attack was claimed by a terrorist organization linked to Al Qaeda. Benin has faced a terrorist threat since 2016.
