In the USA, a significant figure was fired for disloyalty to Trump. Timothy Hough served as the Director of the National Security Agency (NSA).

According to the Washington Post, Hough was called to be fired during a visit to the Oval Office by far-right activist Laura Loomer. Loomer urged Trump to dismiss some National Security Council employees for disloyalty.

Hough's dismissal is seen as a reflection of internal conflicts within the Trump administration. His assistant, Wendy Noble, was also dismissed but transferred to the Pentagon.

Hough previously oversaw efforts to protect the 2018 midterm elections from Russian interference. Loomer claims that Hough was personally recommended for dismissal by former Chief of Staff Mark Milley.

Milley had previously labeled Trump as a 'fascist' and 'the most dangerous person for the USA.' This incident is recorded as another example of the tensions within the Trump administration.
