Alevis in Cologne Send Strong Message for Syria

In Cologne, the Alevi community gathered to draw attention to the Alevi genocide in Syria. Approximately 15,000 people came together with the call to "Stop the massacre in Syria."

During the protest, banners were held with messages like "We were burned, expelled, and slaughtered, but we did not turn back" and "Silence is standing with the oppressor." Participants demanded an immediate halt to attacks on Alevis and similar faith communities.

Republican People's Party (CHP) Hatay Deputy Servet Mullaoğlu and CHP Deputy Cemal Enginyurt also attended the demonstration. The crowd frequently called for Turkey to stop these attacks with phrases like "Let us unite, friends."
