Çetinkaya claimed that retirees did not want this service, stating, "We will cancel it due to the intense complaints from retirees." This statement has drawn significant backlash from many retirees.

It was also noted that the promised food aid of 1,000 TL for retirees has not been implemented, leading to great disappointment among them.

On the other hand, Konyaaltı Municipality's new social support program, the Retiree Card, will offer retirees discounted shopping opportunities. Such initiatives aim to improve the quality of life for retirees.

Retirees are expecting an increase in such support and the fulfillment of promises. Especially in this period of high inflation, the importance of social assistance has become even more critical.
