Recent Developments on AKP Media and RTÜK Oversight

Recently, there have been many developments regarding AKP media and RTÜK oversight. The latest survey results from ORC Research are noteworthy.
According to the survey conducted between March 5-7, 2025, CHP ranks first with 29.3%, while AKP follows closely with 28.9%. This indicates a decline for AKP in recent months.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced that the party will hold a primary election to determine its presidential candidate following calls for early elections. The candidacies of İmamoğlu and Yavaş are on the agenda.

In the latest surveys, the voting rate for İmamoğlu is 41.8%, while for Yavaş it is 41.3%. These results indicate that the opposition may present a strong candidate.
The decline of AKP's vote rate below 30% is seen as a significant change signal in the political arena. This situation brings the role of RTÜK oversight and media back into focus.
