During a visit to imprisoned journalist Fatih Altaylı, Mansur Yavaş shared his views on the candidacy discussions, stating that the topic is not yet finalized.

Yavaş said, "It's important to get rid of this mentality. There is no 'me', 'you', or 'him'. Ekrem can be president, Özgür can shine, or I can. Let one of us do it, whoever it may be."

Recent polls indicate that Mansur Yavaş is leading. However, CHP leader Özgür Özel has not made a definitive decision regarding candidacy.

Mansur Yavaş stated, "We are not currently taking action for a presidential election that has no set date. Our priority is to serve the people of Ankara."
