Corruption allegations regarding the CHP Mayor have come to the forefront. The wealth of former State Airports Authority Department Head Cemil Acar is drawing attention.

Cemil Acar entered the Ministry of Transport as an ordinary clerk in 1998. However, he retired in 2024 with a significant fortune, raising public curiosity.

It was revealed that Acar sent 139 thousand dollars to his ex-wife on December 31, 2021, but this gift was declared as a birthday present. The prosecutor's office determined that her birthday was on July 8.

CHP Çorum Deputy Mehmet Tahtasız stated, "It is concerning that a bureaucrat can accumulate such wealth. Other bureaucrats should also be questioned," he said.
