The primary election process in CHP is progressing rapidly. Ekrem İmamoğlu will be the sole candidate in the upcoming election on March 23.

In his statements before the primary election, İmamoğlu emphasized the importance of peace and tranquility in Turkey. He stated that no problem can be solved with violence.

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik stated that İmamoğlu's candidacy represents a stance against those who try to design politics with the rod of justice in Turkey.

İmamoğlu announced that efforts are underway to ensure that 1 million 750 thousand members vote in the primary election. The "mobile ballot" application will allow members in rural areas to vote.

İmamoğlu predicted that the participation rate in the primary election would not fall below 65%. This election is seen as a democratic revolution for CHP.
