Syrian Airlines Operates First Flight to Istanbul After 12 Years

Syrian Airlines has successfully operated its first flight to Istanbul after 12 years. This flight was made possible following the end of Bashar al-Assad's regime and the reopening of international flights.
The passenger plane took off from Damascus and landed at Istanbul Airport. The flight crew and Syrian Airlines executives were welcomed with flowers by IGA officials.
The ceremony included IGA Aviation Development Director Fırat Ocak and Syrian Airlines General Manager Semir Orabi. The event concluded with ribbon cutting and cake.
This development is seen as an important step towards revitalizing relations between Syria and Turkey. The resumption of flights by Syrian Airlines could enhance economic activity in the region.
