Earthquakes are hitting Balıkesir one after another!

On August 10, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck, followed by aftershocks of up to 4.5 magnitude. Most recently, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded on September 24.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported a tremor of 4 magnitude centered in Sındırgı. The depth of the earthquake was determined to be 6.52 kilometers.

Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu announced that there were no negative reports from the field surveys conducted after the earthquake, but citizens should remain vigilant.
