ATM Requirement for Pension Payments Introduced!

An important change has been made regarding pension payments in Germany. Now, pension payments will only be deposited into bank accounts.
Starting in 2025, pensioners will have to withdraw their salaries from ATMs. The cash payment and check system will be completely eliminated.
According to Deutsche Post's announcement, the ability for pensioners to receive their salaries via checks will be removed by the end of 2025. Therefore, pensioners will need to provide a bank account.
To be included in this new process, pensioners will only need to fill out the 'Non-Cash Payment Application Form'. Additionally, the bank account where the salary will be deposited does not necessarily have to be in the pensioner's name; third-party accounts can also be used.
Security measures for withdrawing money from ATMs will also be enhanced. Facial recognition systems will be implemented, and security camera recordings will be kept for at least two years.
It has been stated that necessary information will be provided to pensioners to help them adapt to this new regulation. Pensioners should be careful and take necessary precautions during this process.
