Security Measures for Turkish Ships Increased at Iranian Ports

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that security measures for Turkish-flagged ships at Iranian ports have been increased.
Due to the tensions between Israel and Iran, the security level for Turkish ships in the Hormuz Strait has been raised to the highest level. Uraloğlu stated, "We have raised the ISPS security level to 3 to prepare for security threats."
Minister Uraloğlu explained the measures taken to ensure the safety of Turkish-flagged ships. Among the security measures to be implemented on the ships are the suspension of loading and unloading operations and comprehensive searches of materials.
Ship captains will be able to increase security measures regarding restricted areas on the ship. Additionally, lighting and surveillance equipment around the ship will be active.
