Artificial intelligence offers a new solution to tax evasion!

The Ministry of Finance is enhancing tax inspectors' effectiveness with AI applications. Mert Özarar, the Director of Information Technologies, stated that AI is the oil of the age.

AI is expected to contribute 15.7 trillion dollars to the global economy by 2030, with Turkey's share estimated at 150 billion dollars.

The Ministry aims to combat the informal economy and reduce tax losses through AI-supported projects. Tax inspectors will be assigned to the right tasks using AI, leading to more effective outcomes.

The AI-supported 'Guardian' software at customs plays a significant role in preventing tax evasion. This system speeds up customs processes and minimizes errors.

AI is also accelerating fraud detection. The Treasury is developing early warning systems to prevent fraud.
