President Erdoğan Expresses Desire for Interest-Free Economy

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made significant statements at the Istanbul Finance Center. He expressed his desire for an interest-free economy and provided information about inflation targets.
Erdoğan stated, "We will not back down from the struggle to change the interest-based economic order," emphasizing the determination to continue implementing the current economic program.
He noted that inflation had dropped to its lowest level in 40 months in April, saying, "We will bring inflation down to single digits."
The President also emphasized the need to increase trade and cooperation among the Islamic world, stating they would oppose the distorted system that deepens inequalities.
Erdoğan highlighted that Turkey is making solid steps towards becoming a terror-free country and that the majority of society supports this process.
Finally, he announced that the Kurban Bayram bonuses for retirees would start being paid from tomorrow.
